ESAD-SU Blog Hop!
Welcome to the ESAD-SU blog hop featuring items from the new Sale-a-bration Mini Catalogue which is available from Monday 25th January. As you may or may not know, Sale-a-bration with Stampin’ Up! means MORE FREE stamp sets! For every $100 in product (not including shipping) you spend, you get to choose a free stamp set from the Sale-a-bration Mini Catalogue. There are also extra benefits for hostesses and those who would like to join the Stampin’ Up! family. I think this year there are some gorgeous sets to choose from. If you follow the whole blog hop (a mere 40 odd blogs!!!), and comment on EACH one, you will go into the draw for some great SU blog candy (yeah, FREE stuff). Just email Leonie (head honcho!) leonie@stamp-a-latte.com to let her know you have commented on each blog and to pop you into the draw!
ESAD-SU is a very special group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators based in Australia/New Zealand, who support each other through a yahoo based group/forum, as well as a live ‘ning’ chat and special challenges. If you’re an Australian (or NZ) demo, simply click on this link and you can be part of the fun! If you’re interested in becoming a demonstrator for Stampin’ Up!, email me andrea.eppingstall@gmail.com or click on my Stampin’ Up! Website here.
My blog hop focuses on “Whimsical Words” stamp set from the new Sale-a-bration Mini. I think it is a fabulous ‘word’ set to have to finish
off your card or scrap page. The first card features one of our ‘heart’ punches (RRP $30.95) which is great for St Valentine’s Day. I have used real red, chocolate chip, individual real red and choc chip markers applied direct to rubber, and of course SU dimensionals, and choc chip ribbon. The ‘green tree’ card is made of old olive, chocolate chip colours. The leaves on the tree are close to cocoa. The tree is from the set ‘Thoughts and Prayers’ and the rabbit is from the set ‘Forest Friends’ which was from the spring mini catalogue. Punches include the ‘photo corners’ punch, and the designer label punch. Choc chip ribbon finishes it off. The grass was made by ‘ripping’ some old olive and then placing it under the tree.
The ‘You’re too kind’ stamp is set on close to cocoa, choc chip (yep, they’re my favourites in case you didn’t already guess!!), with a background stamp (which has french script writing) onto very vanilla cardstock.

The card with ‘the more candles, the bigger the wish’ is made with ruby red, choc chip, close to cocoa, choc chip ribbon, and ‘roughing’ up the edges with the SU distress tool. I’ve also popped some dazzlin diamonds on the flower (flower is from Razzle Dazzle stamp set), but it’s a little hard to see in the photo.
A small note card finishes up my samples. It’s sentiment ‘happiness always’, cardstock is close to cocoa, choc chip, cameo coral. I’ve also used some ‘twine’ to give a texture, and ripped the bottom choc chip cardstock. So quick… so easy!! This stamp set is truly a great one to choose, especially when it’s FREE when you order more than $100 in SU product!!
One of the many reasons to be a demonstrator and be part of our SU family, is that you get the opportunity to ‘pre-order’ some of the goodies, so we can play and share our creations before the products release date. Yep, this means you get to see what you can do with the product, instead of just looking at the samples in the mini catalogue (if you’d like one of these in your hands, or have some questions, and don’t have a demonstrator, please email me at andrea.eppingstall@gmail.com and I’ll mail you one).

The next blog in the blog hop belongs to Ann G, click here to go to her blog.
One kit by mail.. lots of ideas!!

I’ve recently made a ‘kit by mail’ available for customers to purchase. We’re into month 2 of the four months of the kit by mail.
See here for the details.
I’m just finalising some more tutorials, and thought I’d share with you some of the cards and projects I have made with the kit. Some of these cards I’ve used the dots by design rub ons, which are pretty cool too. Love the combination of these colours!!

(Happy) New Year..
Yes well.. it’s been a crazy week.
New Year’s Eve we had an awful fire, allegedly lit by two 11 and 12 yo boys. The wind was very strong before we got a huge storm. The fire burned for around 4 hours, and we were very thankful that 3 water bombers including Elvis, came up from Melbourne to help dowse the flames. Here’s a pic of Elvis between refueling with water. The fire was less than 1 km away, and if the wind turned the way it was supposed to, and we didn’t have any rain with the change, we could have been in danger. We decided to rehearse our ‘fire plan’ and get the heck out. Yes we received an sms and phone message telling us that the fire was in our area, and to enact our fire plans, so even though this has received bad press regionally, I think the system looks like it could work.
<
Anyway, I digress.
A very good friend of mine lost her dear husband over the New Year period. Deepest sympathies to her and their 4 children (aged 4-15). Such a tragedy. I've been very distracted, thinking and praying for them. It's so hard to feel so useless when you know people are hurting and you can't fix it. Reminds us all that life is too short. RIP David.
I've also recently attended a family friend's wedding during the New Year. The bride was gorgeous, and the ceremony was lovely.
Anyway.. I thought I’d post some new stuff that I have been doing over the last 4 weeks, including projects from my ‘kit by mail’ tutorials.

Happy New Year! Thanks for stopping by and visiting my blog.
Swaps made from the Summer Mini Catalogue
Yes! Another benefit of being a demonstrator!! On one of the ‘groups’ I belong to, we organised a swap. This means you made a particular number of ‘card fronts’ with a particular stamp set, then post them off at a given time, with a stamped addressed envelope. The person it is sent to, then divides all the swaps up so you get one of each sent back! It’s a great way to get samples of stamp sets you don’t have, and to get some inspiration for different techniques and colours. Hope you like mine.
It’s hard to see in the pics, but I’ve used the set “Razzle Dazzle” and used the circle scissors to cut a number of circles and rings. The black ring over the stamped (versamark, then black, then stamp and clear embossed) image, provides a ‘border’ for the crystal effects I applied. It gives it this ‘brooch’ like quality. The trick is to leave it dry for 24 hours before touching it!! I finished each off with 3 clear rhinestones.
Thank you to my Elite Secret Santa!

Yet another one of the many benefits of being a demonstrator! I belong to a group called the “Elite Stampers” which is a downline under the talented Angela Sargeant. Each year some of our group puts together a ‘Secret Santa’ swap. The idea is to spend around $30, and focus on SU supplies as well as making something from SU supplies.
Well here is mine that arrived on Saturday. I couldn’t wait, so I teared the package open! Gorgeous decorated candles, handmade cracker/bon bon that held lots of special bits and some m & ms, as well as a gorgeous card and lots of 12 x 12 cardstock!
Inventory Sale…. with pictures.. while stocks last!

In addition to my post about the inventory sale below, I’ve put together some pics of the stamp sets on sale, with their prices. The red price is the SALE price. The alphabet and word stamps are such a bargain!
Please note, all these stamp sets are ’square cut’ stamps, and will require trimming before mounting. Normal shipping rates apply ($5.95 or 5%, whatever is greater). Email me andrea.eppingstall@gmail.com and I’ll check if any of the stamp sets you are after are still in stock!
Last chance to subscribe to Summer “Kit by Mail”!!
Firstly I have to share with you the last few days.
Nicholas (DS4) had to have his tonsils and adenoids removed. Well, just after surgery, the Australian Open ‘cup’ and Nicole Bradtke (nee Pratt) and Todd Woodbridge were visiting the kids ward. They stopped by to say hello. Nic had no idea, but thought the cup was pretty cool! It made Nanna’s day (she’d just dropped in for an hour or two), she loves tennis!! Nicholas is home and recovering well. Poor little possum!
Anyway, I digress… back to normal programming…. Yes! Some of my customers have been asking for a new ‘kit by mail. Well, I am happy to announce I am offering a new special ‘kit by mail’ over the next four months (Dec – March). You simply pay $50 per month for four months (which includes postage each month). You will receive the following as well as detailed instructions for 3 projects per month delivered via email (with colour step by step photos). Packs will be available or posted mid each month (to match the tutorials for the month). Income/Expenses Tracker and Workshop Calculator (designed for SU Demos)
If you are like me, you may have searched for something where you can record all of your SU business income/expenses, ready for the accountant, and to keep an eye on how your business is going.
Not only does the ‘tracker’ track income/expenses as a Stampin’ Up! demo, it also contains a “workshop costs calculator” which allows you to work out how much product it costs you for stamp-a-stacks, make ‘n takes, etc.

This is included FREE when you purchase the tracker for $29.99. Simply click on the paypal link below, and pay by credit card or through your bank account. I will send the tracker to you by email (excel spreadsheet) within 48 hours of cleared payment.
Although it has been designed for those Demonstrators in Australia who don’t have to lodge “BAS” statements, and have less than $70,000 turnover (and therefore not registered for GST), demos in New Zealand and the UK have found it useful!
The tracker is an excel spreadsheet, consisting of a separate sheet for each month, and a yearly summary sheet (see the yearly profit/loss example above). It tracks all income (instant income, classes, card sales, volume rebates) and expenses (costs of business running, product purchased for demo use, postage, etc). I have also included extra info about each topic (when you hover over it with the mouse). It is colour coded (green for income, red for expenses). All you need to do is to enter the appropriate info, and hey presto.. everything is calculated for you!![]()
The tracker is available for $55 $29.99 (payable via paypal or internet transfer). Tracker is available in Excel 2007, and is compatible with Excel 97 – 2003. I offer email troubleshooting and any updates included in the price. Please email me at andrea.eppingstall@gmail.com if you have any questions.
Click on the paypal button below to order today! If you join my team, you will receive it free as part of your welcome package from me!
