Reed Diffusers for Mother’s Day!

Candles_April 10 026

Etsy and others April 10 160

I’ve been playing with a new business idea. I have registered a business name “Tutelary” which means guardian angel.  I have a domain too, but I’m slowly developing it. It will be www.tutelary.com.au.

The business is a ‘virtual assistant’ type of business. For those that don’t know, I’m a personal assistant by trade, and would like to assist people and small businesses with advice and taking care of those things that they’d rather not handle. It might be to take care of all the paperwork if a family member was to pass away, or set up a new business, organise an existing business in terms of marketing, systems and procedures, it might be to conduct research into nursing homes… in fact anything you need. We can either do it, or we can advise of someone who can.

The motto of my business will be to “Assist individuals and businesses with life balance”.

Another area which I’m enjoying ‘playing’ in, is diffusers, soy candles and melts/tarts, to help individuals balance their lives at home, as well as providing eco friendly scents.  The diffusers I am selling leading up to Mother’s Day, are alcohol free, and come with 10 reeds, a gorgeous glass cubed bottle, cork look lid, and of course the fragranted diffuser oil.  I make soy tea lights, and some simple soy tin candles and glass candles. I use eco friendly soy, with no palm oil in sight (it’s important that we don’t burn petrochemicals or erradicate the orangutan’s habitat).

If you want something more exquisite, then visit my friend Kerri’s business “Wicket Scent“. Kerri and her daughter make some fabulous ‘milk shake’, ’spider’, and ‘late’ candles. I have burnt one at home, they’re just devine. Contact me if you wish to know more about my products, particularly for Mother’s Day.

Nappy/baby cake!

janelles cake 001Amazing what you can do with 36 new born disposable huggies nappies and a few hours! DS3’s kinder teacher has gone on maternity leave, and the kinder community are putting together a hamper for her, in preparation of her new little one’s arrival.

I’ve seen these on the net, and thought, why not! I had no other baby things to add, so I tried blue and pink ribbon, and the colour combination of so saffron and certainly celery (using the FREE ribbon bundle I received with my most recent order – you can too, if you purchase more than $100 of SU product during the month of September!!)

I’ve used ‘walk in the park’ designer series paper, with contrasting so saffron and certainly celery cardstock. The pink is regal rose, and the blue is brocade blue.

The matching card is made with the set ‘wild about you’ (giraffe) stamped in certainly celery, with contrasting so saffron and certainly celery on whisper white card stock.

'Tis the Season – Gifts and FREE blog candy

Whew! That’s 35 little packages, and about 12 bigger packages! I’ll post some pics below, let me know if you like them! I used the 2, 5 7, 10 box template with a flap for the bigger ones, and the 2, 5, 7 box template for the smaller ones. The templates are off a Demo resource website, so I don’t think I can post them here.  Happy to show you in person though! :)

Speaking of gifts… I have only received TWO comments on my blog! I know there are at least 30-40 visitors a day (my stats tell me), so you can’t all be demonstrators! Leave me a comment within the next 24 hours and go into the draw for $20 FREE PRODUCT (your choice!!), and a special something made with SU products.

More diary decorations!

This one is using the stamp set “Live your Dreams”, designer paper from the Bali Breeze DSPs, and tempting turquoise/chocolate chip coordination! I love it! A girl at work wanted the combination of turquoise and chocolate chip as a cover on her diary… I think it works really well.  I’m not sure about how to ’seal’ the cover. I have tried mod podge on one.. and clear contact on another. I think the clear contact seems to work the best in terms of protection; afterall, it has to survive for 12 months!!6-dec-plua-008
