Last chance to subscribe to Summer “Kit by Mail”!!
Firstly I have to share with you the last few days.
Nicholas (DS4) had to have his tonsils and adenoids removed. Well, just after surgery, the Australian Open ‘cup’ and Nicole Bradtke (nee Pratt) and Todd Woodbridge were visiting the kids ward. They stopped by to say hello. Nic had no idea, but thought the cup was pretty cool! It made Nanna’s day (she’d just dropped in for an hour or two), she loves tennis!! Nicholas is home and recovering well. Poor little possum!
Anyway, I digress… back to normal programming…. Yes! Some of my customers have been asking for a new ‘kit by mail. Well, I am happy to announce I am offering a new special ‘kit by mail’ over the next four months (Dec – March). You simply pay $50 per month for four months (which includes postage each month). This will be a little different from other shares/kits I have offered in the past. Some supplies will come directly to you, whilst the others will come from me, with a couple of examples already cut up and ready to stamp and put together! There will also be other surprises along the way! The pic to the left shows just a selection of some of the things you will receive in the kit!
If you click on the paypal link below, it will subscribe you to the offer! Each month, for four months, your payment will be debited at $50 per month. You will receive the following as well as detailed instructions for 3 projects per month delivered via email (with colour step by step photos). Packs will be available or posted mid each month (to match the tutorials for the month). In each of the packs, there will be one of each of the projects cut up, so you can see how quickly you can make it!

Would you like to share in a ribbon, embelishments, accessories monthly club?
I’ve been asked a couple of times if I’d be putting together some ribbon and accessories shares so that people could get ‘bits’ of everything without buying whole items.
Well, I’ve decided to offer a club each month, where the cost will be between $30 and $70 each month (depending on the share). I will let you know each month what will be in the swap, and you simply let me know if you want to be part of that month’s club.
February’s monthly share club

- Just some of the goodies available in February’s monthly share club!
The March monthly share club will consist of ribbons, rhinestones, thread, buttons and some of the pretties kit (pearls, flowers etc). I haven’t priced it yet, but would believe it will be around $50*.
I have four places in the February share, and will make March’s share five places. If I have more people interested, I will run more than one club.
Please let me know asap if you want to participate. Payment for February will need to be paid to me by 13th February, by paypal, direct deposit or cash.

Here’s another recent card I have made, using colours I normally don’t try
(ruby red, really rust, close to cocoa), using ‘embrace life’ flower stamps, watercolouring, versamark and rhinestones. Hope you like it!
2009 Marker Club (Jan – April) is up and running!
What are the markers, what do they do?
Stampin’ Up! has a range of ‘markers’ which are double ended markers which match our cardstock and inkpads. They are SOO versatile! You can write or journal with them, you can colour the outside of an image with them, then use an aqua painter (or blender pen) to ‘drag’ the colour into the picture, you can also colour directly onto the stamp, then ‘huff’ onto the stamp and stamp it. By colouring directly onto the stamp, you can stamp ‘just’ what you want to and leave out bits of the stamp you don’t want to use. This technique is very hard to achieve using an inkpad, but it is really easy using the markers!
More ideas for other things you can do with your markers:
- ”ink” up small areas of stamps with them
- colour direct to the stamp using different colours
- colour in images directly with them
- scribble some colour from the pens onto like a dish and pick up the colour using a Water pen or blender pen and colour in.
- use with the spritzer.
- draw borders, or create coloured faux stitching.
- scribble all over a brayer and brayer a unique pattern
- colour your stamp or brayer with the markers, spritz with water (not too much water as it muddies it up) and stamp onto watercolour paper, gives a great watercolour effect!
- ‘Thumping’, start with lightest colour to darkest colour on a stamp image, then stamp to get a marbled type look.
- Edging stamp images (solid ones) with a marker. Ink up the image with you ink then go around the edge with a darker colour.
