Birthday boys!
Happy birthday to Connor! He turned 12 on Friday.
I find it really hard to come up with ‘boy’ cards. Here I have used night of navy and ballet blue cardstock. I’ve cut out the letters for Connor’s name using the timeless junior alphabet die set which I ran through my big shot die machine. It’s fabulous for words, names, scrapbooking and cardmaking!
The cupcake is stamped, coloured, and the ‘icing’ is covered in dazzlin diamonds.
I have also included a little pocket to place some money in for his birthday.
Lots more cards!

Sorry guys, I’ve been a little naughty and not updating my blog! Here’s some cards that I have made over the last few weeks.
The first one was made using “Pendant Park”. This is a lovely set from the Winter/Autumn Mini. It has a gorgeous tree and cute park bench!
The next one is using “Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry” in colours from the Winter/Autumn Mini. I’m finding I’m using the word set HEAPS.. not only does it have a lovely ‘happy birthday’ stamp, it also has a ‘mother’s day’ stamp. I made lots of mother’s day cards for people at work..

Reed Diffusers for Mother’s Day!

I’ve been playing with a new business idea. I have registered a business name “Tutelary” which means guardian angel. I have a domain too, but I’m slowly developing it. It will be www.tutelary.com.au.
The business is a ‘virtual assistant’ type of business. For those that don’t know, I’m a personal assistant by trade, and would like to assist people and small businesses with advice and taking care of those things that they’d rather not handle. It might be to take care of all the paperwork if a family member was to pass away, or set up a new business, organise an existing business in terms of marketing, systems and procedures, it might be to conduct research into nursing homes… in fact anything you need. We can either do it, or we can advise of someone who can.
The motto of my business will be to “Assist individuals and businesses with life balance”.
Another area which I’m enjoying ‘playing’ in, is diffusers, soy candles and melts/tarts, to help individuals balance their lives at home, as well as providing eco friendly scents. The diffusers I am selling leading up to Mother’s Day, are alcohol free, and come with 10 reeds, a gorgeous glass cubed bottle, cork look lid, and of course the fragranted diffuser oil. I make soy tea lights, and some simple soy tin candles and glass candles. I use eco friendly soy, with no palm oil in sight (it’s important that we don’t burn petrochemicals or erradicate the orangutan’s habitat).
If you want something more exquisite, then visit my friend Kerri’s business “Wicket Scent“. Kerri and her daughter make some fabulous ‘milk shake’, ’spider’, and ‘late’ candles. I have burnt one at home, they’re just devine. Contact me if you wish to know more about my products, particularly for Mother’s Day.
Farewell & Goodbye Card
One of my dear friends has just left work, and is moving out of town
We wish her luck, but wish she was going to still be around, instead of 3,000 kms away.
I put together a ‘large’ farewell card for everyone at work to sign. I used a 12 x 12 piece of old olive, and decorated with rich razzleberry, as well as the matching cottage designer paper. The ‘farewell’ was done using the big shot and the timeless alphabet. Look how many signatures are on it!! The back was covered too!! She is definitely well loved. We also decorated the gift with the same colour scheme.

Colour Families Renovation @ Stampin’ Up! coming September!
SU are excited to bring to you a new world of colour in Stampin’ Up!’s Colour Renovation. For over two years, it has done extensive research including investigating colour trends in the fashion, home décor, and crafting industries, and have conducted focus groups involving demonstrators, customers, and Stampin’ Up! experts. SU has found that it was time to update our colours so that you have a fresh, on-trend colour palette to work with! SU has learned from our successful In Color programme that you love getting new colours.
The new colour palette is organized into four collections:
Subtles;
Brights;
Regals; and
Neutrals.
You will see 25 of our current colours remaining, and ten past In Colors returning as core colours, and the addition of five new core colours. Check the colour charts to see what the new collections look like, and what colours will be retiring.
New In Color Programme
One part of our Colour Renovation that we’re sure you’re going to love is the new In Color programme! Each year we will introduce five new In Colors, and they will remain for two years. This means that the 2010-2011 In Colors will be introduced this year, but will not be retired until the 2012-2013 colours are introduced. This year there will be only be five In Colors, but after that, we will always have ten (the previous year’s plus the new). Look for a later announcement on this year’s In Colors.
Resources
Below are the resources we’ve provided to help you see and understand the colour transition. Because the new colours will not be introduced until the new catalogue in September, more information to help you with the transition will be posted as that comes closer. All Stampin’ Up! markets will now have all the same colours.

Carry over products..
Just a quick update. Normally when product was in a mini, it is no longer available once the mini ends, and is deemed ‘dormant’, which means it can’t be ordered, until if/when it gets into the main catalogue, which is due out in September. The above products have been in the Spring or Summer minis, and is STILL available (as ‘carry over’ product) !! I was worried there was a few people out there that missed out on that wonderful butterfly punch. If you were after the matching butterfly stamps in the Summer Mini, it is too late to order them, but the punch also coordinates with ‘Flight of the Butterfly’ in the main catalogue! How kewl! Let me know if you want/need to order any of these things!!

Hope you enjoy my blog entries! You’ll see I love our new bird punch, as well as the new incolour – rich razzleberry! Here are some descriptions of the projects:
1 & 1 a. Fold up photo book/album (it’s the larger version). Let me know if you would like the instructions and I’ll email them through when I finalise the tutorial. Rich Razzleberry is featured with the new designer paper cottage garden (I LOVE this paper). I have made the letters by using an alphabet die through the big shot!! Great for scrapbooking. Bird punch, and finished with rich razzleberry ribbon.

2. Get well wishes is from the new teeny tiny sentiments stamp set, it’s soooo versatile. I think I can use it instead of nearly all of my sentment stamps. The bird is our bird punch, with the wing being punched out of designer cottage paper, and the branch out of old olive. The background has been run through the big shot with the perfect polka dots embossing folder. Rich razzleberry ribbon, and the label behind is also a die from a set called ‘lots of tags’.
3. This is a card focused directly on our new in colour, rich razzlebe rry. It teams up beautifully with old olive and the matching designer paper. I have used the ‘happy birthday’ on the side from teeny tiny sentiments, and layered up the card, using a non-SU castle die. I also used an alphabet diet set for the name ‘Arley’. Dazzlin’ diamonds, stampin dimensionals and the 2way glue pen have also been used.

3.
4. This card has been made using melon mambo (another new in colour), and the new stamp set (and matching roller) called Vintage Vogue. Gorgeous set. I have played with the flowers by stamping them, then dry embossing them onto a soft piece of foam, to make the flowers 3 dimensional. Sentiment is also from the same set.

4.
5. Another bird punch card! Simple, but elegant. I have layered the bird’s wing to give it additional effect. Colours are night of navy, bashful blue, and whisper white. Sentiment stamped in night of navy, it’s also out of the new teeny tiny sentiments set.

5.
6. hmmm… another bird punch card!! Colours are melon mambo, old olive, close to cocoa. Melon mambo matching ribbon finishes off the card.

7. Pony party! That’s the name of the stamp set. In the background, is the ‘top note’ die which has been created, using the big shot machine. What a cute little girl’s set. It also comes with a party hat, unicorn horn.. and loads of other stuff!
Hope you enjoyed my tour! I think you’ll agree my favs are rich razzleberry and the XL bird punch!! If you wish to continue to keep up to date with me, feel free to subscribe to my blog feeds in the column to the right. If you don’t have a demonstrator, let me know if you would like me to send the new Winter/Autumn mini to you!.
