Gift set

march 10 ish 060

Here’s a set I recently made a friend who turned 30. She is a ‘pink’ girl, so I’m hoping she enjoyed her pressie.

Not only did I make a post it note pad holder, and covered a 2 year monthly calendar in matching colours/paper, I also used the same colour scheme to gift wrap the pressie. The card is also pink themed, but slightly different pink!

I’ve even given you a sneak peek on the card. Does anyone know what it is? A new product we’ll be seeing a bit of after 1 April!!

Let me know if you like it.  march 10 ish 054march 10 ish 038march 10 ish 039

Fundraiser closing 17 March

Just a quick thank you to those all over the world who have donated some money towards the Cummings Family Fundraiser. Between the raffle and donations of money and products, we have over $1,000 of fundraising that will go to the family. Thank you soooo much. Every cent raised is going to the family, to help with their everyday living.

For those who have raffle tickets, or wish to buy some, the ticket stubbs and money need to be back to me by 17 March. The draw will take place on 19 March, results in “The Courier” newspaper, Ballarat 20th March 2010.

Here’s the info from my previous post:

Dave pic for kids As you may be aware from a recent post, my good friend Claire’s husband died suddenly on 30th December 2009, at the age of 41. He has left behind Claire and their four georgeous children; Aimee, Stephanie, Thomas and Laura (aged 16, 13, 9 and 4 respectively).

I am currently organising a ‘fundraiser’ for the family which will include raffle tickets, with prizes being offered by Stampin’ Up, myself, and a host of local businesses. Tickets will be $2 each, or 3 for $5 (email me andrea.eppingstall@gmail.com and I will send some to you). Alternatively, you can donated directly, by clicking on the ‘donate’ button below. The raffle will be drawn March 16, with winners notified that day, and announced in “The Courier” on Saturday 20 March.

For those ordering Stampin’ Up! goodies from me during the month of February, ALL my commissions will be directly going to the fundraiser. So contact me if you’d like to place an order, and know you are helping out a lovely family at the same time.

I know any sum of money won’t bring David back, but hopefully we may be able to ease the burden slightly.

Flowers plus my door entrance

march 02 042march 02 033

Woohoo!! I got flowers from the tooth fairy!!!

Last week I had the pleasure of getting one of my root canaled teeth removed (yes.. sometimes they don’t last forever!!). My darling tooth fairy sent me flowers to commiserate.

The guy delivering my flowers commented on my front door poster. Thought I’d share it with you. It was the brain child of one of the girls from my work.. and then I modified it. Certainly helps keeping all the door knockers at bay.. *grin*

Little thank yous..

I recently wanted to make a number of small ‘thank you’ cards for my customers. Here’s a couple of the designs I came up with. I’ve used the scallop punch to make the flowers (2-4 layers of coordinating colours, with top layer cut into the middle), and a rhinestone brad for the flower centre. Thank you stamp is from one of the current sale-a-bration sets. Paper again is from the Bella Rose designer paper.

Card and envelopes are from our ‘love notes’ set. The set consists of 10 cards and 10 envelopes, of fabulous SU quality!

40th birthday

Feb 20 ish 019

One of my dear friends has recently turned 40. She loves every handmade card I’ve made her. This one is fairly plain, utilising incolours kiwi kiss, red riding hood, bella rose designer paper, and of course matching satin ribbon, and the numbers were cut using a die cut system. I’ve covered the numbers with glue pen and dazzlin’ diamonds. The sides of the card layers have been ‘distressed’ using the SU cutting tool (distressing edge).

Sympathy & Wedding

Feb 20 ish 001

Here’s a lovely set I like to use for sympathy cards. It has the gorgeous tree, and sentiments as well.

I’ve used markers to ‘ink’ the tree – old olive, close to cocoa and choc chip. Cardstock colours are very vanilla, close to cocoa, choc chip.

The wedding card uses ‘life definitions’ for the ‘together’ sentiment, and fast and fun notes for the wedding cake. Both have been gold embossed, with black and gold cardstock layered, and black 1/4″ grosgrain tied at the front.

Missing in action.. my apologies

I’ve been a little distracted with putting together the fundraising raffle for the Cummings family (see previous post for more info, and a link to donate.

This is a card using ‘Just Jawing’ stamp set from SU! It was made for an 9 yo boy.

This is a card I made using a couple of exciting new things available soon.
The stamp set is a gorgeous stamp set for little girls. All little girls seem to adore ponies! This stamp set comes with the cutest little coordinating stamps (cloud, butterfly, flowers, grass, stars etc).
The pink piece behind the picture has been cut using the another product coming soon!   Watch this space!!
Don’t forget, any orders placed with me during February, all profits go to the Cummings Family Fundraiser, as well as getting to choose your own free sale-a-bration stamp set for every $100 in product ordered until 31 March!!

A very special cause..

Sneak peek..

Apparently we will be getting the Big Shot in the next mini catalogue (due 1 April). Here’s a card made with the ‘build a bear’ dies. How cute! You make a bear, and then there are ‘boy’ or ‘girl’ accessories that you can dress them up with! Don’t ask me where I got it.. it’s a secret! Hope you like the sneak peek!! Can’t wait to get my hands all of it!!!! Watch this space!

ESAD-SU Blog Hop!

17 jan 10 019Welcome to the ESAD-SU blog hop featuring items from the new Sale-a-bration Mini Catalogue which is available from Monday 25th January. As you may or may not know, Sale-a-bration with Stampin’ Up! means MORE FREE stamp sets! For every $100 in product (not including shipping) you spend, you get to choose a free stamp set from the Sale-a-bration Mini Catalogue. There are also extra benefits for hostesses and those who would like to join the Stampin’ Up! family. I think this year there are some gorgeous sets to choose from. If you follow the whole blog hop (a mere 40 odd blogs!!!), and comment on EACH one, you will go into the draw for some great SU blog candy (yeah, FREE stuff). Just email Leonie (head honcho!) leonie@stamp-a-latte.com to let her know you have commented on each blog and to pop you into the draw!

ESAD-SU is a very special group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators based in Australia/New Zealand, who support each other through a yahoo based group/forum, as well as a live ‘ning’ chat and special challenges. If you’re an Australian (or NZ) demo, simply click on this link and you can be part of the fun! If you’re interested in becoming a demonstrator for Stampin’ Up!, email me andrea.eppingstall@gmail.com or click on my Stampin’ Up! Website here.

My blog hop focuses on “Whimsical Words” stamp set from the new Sale-a-bration Mini. I think it is a fabulous ‘word’ set to have to finish 17 jan 10 028off your card or scrap page.  The first card features one of our ‘heart’ punches (RRP $30.95) which is great for St Valentine’s Day. I have used real red, chocolate chip, individual real red and choc chip markers applied direct to rubber, and of course SU dimensionals, and choc chip ribbon. The ‘green tree’ card is made of old olive, chocolate chip colours. The leaves on the tree are close to cocoa. The tree is from the set ‘Thoughts and Prayers’ and the rabbit is from the set ‘Forest Friends’ which was from the spring mini catalogue. Punches include the ‘photo corners’ punch, and the designer label punch. Choc chip ribbon finishes it off. The grass was made by ‘ripping’ some old olive and then placing it under the tree.

The ‘You’re too kind’ stamp is set on close to cocoa, choc chip (yep, they’re my favourites in case you didn’t already guess!!), with a background stamp (which has french script writing) onto very vanilla cardstock.

The card with ‘the more candles, the bigger the wish’ is made with ruby red, choc chip, close to cocoa, choc chip ribbon, and ‘roughing’ up the edges with the SU distress tool. I’ve also popped some dazzlin diamonds on the flower (flower is from Razzle Dazzle stamp set), but it’s a little hard to see in the photo.

A small note card finishes up my samples. It’s sentiment ‘happiness always’, cardstock is close to cocoa, choc chip, cameo coral. I’ve also used some ‘twine’ to give a texture, and ripped the bottom choc chip cardstock. So quick… so easy!! This stamp set is truly a great one to choose, especially when it’s FREE when you order more than $100 in SU product!!

One of the many reasons to be a demonstrator and be part of our SU family, is that you get the opportunity to ‘pre-order’ some of the goodies, so we can play and share our creations before the products release date. Yep, this means you get to see what you can do with the product, instead of just looking at the samples in the mini catalogue (if you’d like one of these in your hands, or have some questions,  and don’t have a demonstrator, please email me at andrea.eppingstall@gmail.com and I’ll mail you one).
